Lydia Sophia Christensen

With an ardent love for Shakespeare’s canon and literary adaptation, I am a believer that words have the power to change our lives and the world.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, I am an experienced, classically trained actor with a specialty in Shakespeare and heightened text performance. I am currently based in Virginia, while pursuing my MLitt & MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University.

My acting career has taken me across the country, performing for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Mended Wing Theatre Co, the Silver Line Theatre Exchange, and the American Shakespeare Center.

With a Bachelor of Arts in both English Literature and Spanish, I am an award-winning writer on the topic of Shakespearean critical analysis, and have studied theatre and literature in Madrid, Spain.

I am deeply passionate about theatre accessibility and the power theatre holds as a tool for social advocacy.
